Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates
IMGs may request to have ECFMG send a report of their ECFMG certification status to a state medical board/medical licensing authority using CVS ON-LINE, ECFMG’s web-based certification verification request service. Status reports will be sent directly to the state medical board/licensing authority, not to the IMG. The fee for this service is $66.00 per report.
CVS ON-LINE
To use CVS ON-LINE, login to CVS ON-LINE
using your USMLE/ECFMG Identification Number and ECFMG on-line
services password. You will be asked to confirm and, if necessary,
update your contact information. If an update to your contact
information is required, log out of CVS ON-LINE and login to
OASIS
to make the necessary changes. Once the changes have been made,
return to CVS ON-LINE. You may then click on “Make a
Request” and choose the medical licensing authority to which
you want the report sent. After making your selection and selecting
“Finish,” you will have the opportunity to review the
accuracy of your request before proceeding.
The next screen will show the summary of fee(s) and give you the option of submitting additional report requests. If you wish to add another request, you will be returned to the request screen.
To pay the total due, select a method of payment (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, or an on-line payment from a U.S. checking account) and enter the information requested into our secure web page. If you have a credit in your ECFMG financial account, you will be given the option of using this credit towards your total due. See the Payment page for details.
Requests entered without a successful payment transaction will not be processed. You will receive verification of receipt of your request after the submission of payment.
If you have not previously used ECFMG’s on-line services and require an on-line services password in order to use CVS ON-LINE, go to ECFMG’s Interactive Web Application (IWA) and follow the instructions for a first-time user of ECFMG On-line Services, found at the bottom of the login screen.
