The Exchange Visitor Physician Alumni Program is an initiative of the Exchange Visitor Sponsorship Program (EVSP) aimed at staying connected to physicians who completed U.S. training under ECFMG sponsorship. Following their stays in the United States, J-1 exchange visitor physicians return to their home countries, taking with them new or improved clinical skills and broader global perspectives.
It is our goal to provide alumni with valuable resources while, at the same time, gaining a better understanding of their professional activities and contributions around the world.
The Exchange Visitor Physician Alumni Bulletin is an e-newsletter published by EVSP several times per year. Issues include a variety of content applicable to our alumni, such as peer activity highlights and publications, relevant resources, survey invitations, and global health care news.
If you are an EVSP alum and you would like to receive the Exchange Visitor Physician Alumni Bulletin, please send an e-mail to EVSPalumni@ecfmg.org with your name and USMLE/ECFMG ID number.
If you are a J-1 physician alum with good news, let us know!
Selected submissions will be featured in an upcoming issue of the Exchange Visitor Physician Alumni Bulletin.
Journeys in Medicine is a blog created by ECFMG to share the stories of J-1 physicians, both current and past.

ECFMG hosts a private networking group for EVSP alumni on LinkedIn, a free social platform for networking and professional development. The Exchange Visitor Physician Alumni Networking Group is a space where J-1 physician alumni from all over the world can engage in discussions, connect with one another, and build community.
This group is private; membership is only available to Exchange Visitor Physician alumni. To request to join, please send an e-mail to EVSPalumni@ecfmg.org with your name and USMLE/ECFMG ID number.
