Current Processing Time Estimates by Service


This page provides current estimated processing times for common service requests. These estimates are provided to applicants and entities as general guidance for their planning purposes and are not guaranteed. This page will be updated regularly to reflect current processing estimates.

Actual processing times for individual requests may vary with application completeness and complexity, volume, holidays, and external dependencies. Generally, processing times are currently longer than usual due to increased demand. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work to serve you efficiently.

Service Estimated Processing Time Notes
MyIntealth Account Establishment Requests 3 weeks Estimate to review initial request for account establishment and submitted documentation.
Review of Completed Identity Forms 2 weeks Estimate to process completed identity form.
Credential Verification Request (EPIC) 3 weeks Estimate to review a submitted credential and send to entity for verification. Does not include time required by entity to verify credential or ECFMG review of returned verification.
Credential Verification Request (ECFMG Certification) 5 weeks Estimate to review a submitted credential and send to entity for verification. Does not include time required by entity to verify credential or ECFMG review of returned verification.
Form 183 (Student Enrollment Verification for USMLE registration) 4 weeks Estimate to review a completed Form 183 returned by the medical school.
ECFMG Certificate Issuance 2 weeks Estimate to review applicant record and issue ECFMG Certificate. Does not include mailing time.
Pathways Application 1 week Estimate to review complete applications, which includes receipt of OET scores and any required supporting documentation.
Entity User Requests for Portal Access 2 weeks Estimate to review request and grant access.

Use MyIntealth to Check Status of Individual Requests

The My Cases tab in the MyIntealth Applicant Portal is the most efficient way for applicants to check the current status of individual service requests. The applicant portal reflects the real-time processing status of all requests. Our customer service team does not have access to additional case status details beyond what appears in the applicant portal and the estimated processing times above. Customer service hold and response times continue to be longer than usual due to high volume. To help us assist everyone as efficiently as possible, we ask that customer service phone lines and email be reserved for those experiencing technical or other urgent issues.
