The International Medical Graduate’s Guide to US Medicine & Residency Training
The International Medical Graduate’s Guide to US Medicine & Residency Training, published by the American College of Physicians (ACP) in collaboration with ECFMG, is a valuable resource for international medical graduates and for residency program staff involved in graduate medical education. The book includes information on all aspects of the processes by which international medical graduates can achieve ECFMG Certification, secure positions in U.S. graduate medical education programs, obtain appropriate immigration status, understand and function within the U.S. medical education and health care delivery systems, and adjust to living and working in the United States.

ECFMG Exchange Visitor Sponsorship Program
ECFMG is authorized by the U.S. Department of State (DOS) to sponsor foreign national physicians as Exchange Visitors in accredited programs of graduate medical education or training or advanced research programs (involving primarily observation, consultation, teaching, or research).
The ECFMG J-1 Visa Sponsorship Fact Sheet provides an introduction to ECFMG sponsorship of foreign national physicians for the J-1 visa and includes web-based resources for those who want more information.

Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER)
FAIMER is a nonprofit foundation established by ECFMG in 2000. In partnership with ECFMG, FAIMER promotes excellence in international health professions education through programmatic and research activities.

The NRMP Data and Reports web page offers reports and meaningful data that provide the information about outcomes of the Match, trends, and factors associated with interview selection and ranking.
